Web Developer Internship

University of Louisville College of Business, Marketing and Communications
May 2024 – May 2025

As a part of the University of Louisville’s initiative to migrate and rebuild each college’s website on the Drupal platform, I was hired in May of 2024 as an intern to help speed up development. My temporary position was initially intended to last from May until August, before receiving an offer to extend it to December and again until my graduation in May of 2025.

I have greatly valued the opportunity to apply myself in a real-world position that I am passionate about alongside my incredible teammates in the Marketing and Communications department. Below are some of my responsibilities and achievements:

– Built 100+ pages for the new and upcoming UofL College of Business website under the Drupal platform.
– Migrated content from existing WordPress website, adapted to fit provided design specifications.
– Communicated across departments to ensure pages accurately reflect individual units and the organization as a whole.
– Optimized site structure for intuitive navigation across various potential user journeys.
– Applied SEO best practices and accessibility standards to enhance site visibility and user experience.
– Troubleshot technical problems pertaining to development and communicated findings to prevent future disruptions.
